Poured from a 22oz omber into my trusty snifter. No date to be found.
A: Pours an intensely thick, opaque black color. A one finger creamy mocha head fades quickly. Alcohol legs are present.
S: Massive roasted malts. Bittersweet baker's chocolate. Some faint vanilla and burnt rown sugar. A touch of coffee, but not too much.
T/M: A lesser version of the nose. Very sweet and chocolately. The roastiness gets lost somewhere in the back. And there's no coffee tast to speak of. A decent bitter hop presence. Very rich and creamy...definitely full-bodied. Leaves a coating on the palate after the swallow. Just a touc of alcohol presence - more in warmth than taste.
O: Kind of a mellow overall version of a RIS. Very palatable and easy drinking considering the ABV. The mouthfeeel is wonderful, but I'd like to get just a bit more roastiness or even some coffee in the taste.

Pours opaque black with cola edges. The 1/2 inch tan head settles to a thin ring on top and leaves spots of lace.
The smell is of dark chocolate, roasted nuts, coffee grounds and a hint of vanilla.
The taste is of black coffee, dark chocolate, faint dark fruit and vanilla.
The texture is heavy with medium carbonation.
Drake's isn't trying to reinvent the wheel with this one. What they have done is offer up a fairly standard but, solid imperial stout.

Poured on tap.
A: very dark with about 3 fingers of brown head, looks like the head is from some whipped up chocolate milk.
S: rich chocolate, faint caramel, sweet.
T: moderately sweet, this beer has strong chocolate with burnt caramel to it. The nearly 9% alcohol is non-existent.
M: thick and rich. It is not syrupy, but lightly coats the mouth. Despite good sized head, low carbonation in the mouth.
O: I would love to try this barrel aged. I think it has the right flavors and feel to really become a barrel aged dessert beer. Until then, this may become my go to non aged stout.
