Drake drakonic imperial stout
A- roasted chocoalte malt, brown sugar, an earthy coffee flavor, a peaty smell. A malty goodness coming from this. 4
S- pour produces a 1-1/2 finger dark mocha head resting atop a jet black body. Decent retention. Nice lacing 4
T- from the second it hit my lips I knew it was good. Dark chocolate and espresso upfront but not overdone and actually refreshing. There are hints of milk chocoalte, mollasses, slight bitter hop taste, and and earthy tone. Very well done 4.5
M- very good mouthfeel. Good viscotity, creamy, and good carbonation. 4
O- honestly I came into this beer with slightly low expectations as nothing ive ever had from drakes (albeit only a few of them) has ever impressed me. This definitely wowed me and I will be buying it again. A excellent imperial stout. This barrel aged would probably be orgasmic 4.5

Pours opaque black with cola edges. The 1/2 inch tan head settles to a thin ring on top and leaves spots of lace.
The smell is of dark chocolate, roasted nuts, coffee grounds and a hint of vanilla.
The taste is of black coffee, dark chocolate, faint dark fruit and vanilla.
The texture is heavy with medium carbonation.
Drake's isn't trying to reinvent the wheel with this one. What they have done is offer up a fairly standard but, solid imperial stout.

Poured on tap.
A: very dark with about 3 fingers of brown head, looks like the head is from some whipped up chocolate milk.
S: rich chocolate, faint caramel, sweet.
T: moderately sweet, this beer has strong chocolate with burnt caramel to it. The nearly 9% alcohol is non-existent.
M: thick and rich. It is not syrupy, but lightly coats the mouth. Despite good sized head, low carbonation in the mouth.
O: I would love to try this barrel aged. I think it has the right flavors and feel to really become a barrel aged dessert beer. Until then, this may become my go to non aged stout.
