22 ounce bomber, purchased in Watsonville, Ca's Cork and Bottle.
No freshness info/bottling date info.
Pours a super clear and rich shade of bronzed/coppery amber, under a lazy and relaxed oatmeal colored head, that rapidly goes to a thicker collar and leaves just some spotty bits of lace.
Nose reveals notes of sweet malts and just a hint of hops lurking in the rear.
The sweet malt theme continues onto the palate, sort of suprising for the style. Waves of caramel melts most in contro here, glimpses of citric and grains hops are present but sort of towards the rear.
Enjoyable and tasty, big and bold flavors abound. Medium body and carbonation is at the correct level. Super smooth and an easy flower over the taste buds
Well done and worth a try if you like a malty DIPA thats bordering on a barley wine.

The beer pours an orange-amber color with a white head. The aroma is very fruity. I get a ton of tropical fruit notes including pineapple, mango, apple, papaya, peaches and starfruit. Every time I smell the beer I get something new.
The flavor is also very fruity. I get some caramel malt along with a ton of papaya and mango. The flavor is not as complicated as the aroma, but it is still a great tasting IPA.
Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. A very good Double IPA.

Clear orange and amber with a thin off-white head--spots, lines, and spiderwebs of lace left down the glass.
Bold aroma both with big, citrus, resinous, dank hop notes and tons of big, sweet, syrupy sweet malt accents, along with just a touch of alcohol bite.
The flavor follows similarly with tons of both hops and sweet malt characteristics. This is just a touch too sweet and a bit boozy for my liking, though I can appreciate what's here.
Medium mouthfeel with moderate carbonation.
A big, hugely flavorful, sweet DIPA. This isn't the direction I prefer my DIPAs to lean, but this is no slouch of a beer.

So glad they brought this to the Truckee beer fest, usually have to go into the East Bay (Hayward/San Leandro) for this one.
Amazing orange and auburn glow, with clarity, minimal head, white. Great dry hop aroma, citrus and pine, simcoe and amarillo is my guess.
Great taste, so easy to drink, hides the alcohol, gets you pumped up like it has caffeine in it, such a thrill to find this when you didn't expect it. Usually a perennial spot or two behind Pliny in my tally for dipa festival. Solid.

Thanks to augustgarage for the chance to try this exceptional San Francisco DIPA. Poured into my Dfh snifter- pours a golden red color, about 3 fingers of frothy head that recedes slowly, leaving nice lacing on the glass. Smell- I get nice citrus flavor- orange rind and lemon, mixed with some pronounced toffee and caramel. I'm really excited to get started here. Taste- instant bitter hops flavor is met with a mingled caramel and sweet toffee flavor. What a well balanced beer! Mouthfeel- this has a nice feel to it, not silky, but nice carbonation and drinks very well. Drinkability- for 9.75 abv, this is well hidden and easily drinkable. This is a gem of a beer, and I was glad to have a chance to taste it.
