Imbibed on tap at Harry's Hofbrau on 2/19/12,
Pours a semi opaque metallic gold with decent head and retention, though no lacing to speak of (could have been the glass). Super pine and citrus aroma! Acidic with a good amount of orange and pineapple. Nothing but bitterness in flavor. Very piney, resinous, but still light. Aftertaste is harsh, like tree bark. It smooths out a bit with more to drink and as it warms. This is extremely bitter. MF is more balanced than not, though leaning towards the viscous side, like it's cousin, the Black Label.
This is definitely interesting, but nothing I'd request in more than 8oz at a time. Take sips, not gulps, and you'll be rewarded. Water doesn't hurt either.

Thanks to black13 for this bottle,
22oz. bomber bottled on 11 Feb 2014 poured into a HF wine glass. Served at 40F.
A: Deep cloudy copper body covered with ~1" of creamy off-white head that lingers for a few minutes leaving thick lacing on the glass. Fine carbonation is evident. Gentle swirling regenerates the head.
S: Dank hops with a bright citrus scent. No overt malt smell.
T: Grapefruit and orange dominate. Hints of a malt backbone, but this is most certainly hop forward. Clean finish with little residual bitterness.
M: Very heavy, almost syrupy consistency. Hop resins leve a slick coating on the inside of my mouth. Good carbonation for the style.
O: A nice double IPA. Perhaps a bit past it's best day, but still very enjoyable.
