Pours a clear, pale yellow with decent head and good lacing as you drink. Tons of citrus in the nose, mainly grapefruit. Lots of pine as well. Malt is definitely present as well, bready with a little biscuit. Taste starts light, like pilsner malt, fades quick to a bitter, green hops. Pine and sap come to mind for the taste as well. The taste is thick, but not in feel. The sharp bitterness lingers between sips. The feel is balanced but feels a bit acidic on the tongue. Finish is on the dry side.
This really reminded me of Sculpin in the nose, but it really tasted and felt like a hoppy pale ale. The ABV would suggest this is more a pale as well. I appreciate that this is so hoppy with a low ABV, and it still feels mostly balanced to boot. Beginning to really like Drake's stuff.
