A - Clear honey, nice near white thick head, lots of cling.
S - Cat pee, malt, citrus.
T - Very nice beer. Huge malt squashed by stringent malt. Pretty good stuff.
M - Medium body, good carb and a very nice balance.
D - Could easily take on a 6er of this.

Thanks to Mike for splitting this bottle! It pours a cloudy and muggy, golden color which appears to have more of an orange-ish hue in the center. It's pretty damn cloudy, approaching complete opacity, but I love the unfiltered look. A pretty nice sized, chunky eggshell creme sits on top of the golden brew and leaves a few spots of lacing during its decent to the bottom of the glass.
Juicy hops all up in the aroma; light, gummy orange flesh and slight peel with some tropical essence that comes without exact fruit discernibility. Danky, resinous hops lie in the background behind the fruits and seem to come out more and more with each whiff. Another good pass of West Coast hops, left and right; plenty of stanky pines and sticky tropics. Very, very nice.
The taste also includes pretty copious amounts of bitter pines and pungent oils, followed closely with a more mild grassy note and a touch of green onion. The Citra and CTZ hops must be the big contributors of the tangerine peels, pineapples, and pithy citrus notes that I'm picking up. I would have guessed Simcoe may be a part of this bill as well, but surprisingly, it is not!
It's actually pretty bitter on the back of the tongue and it stays that way through the finish. It's only a 6.7% ABV single IPA, but it'll scrape your palate pretty nicely - luckily, the tropical fruits and citrus perform a nice balancing act. Let's not forget about the malt, either; lots of biscuit and bread, not huge in flavor, but more so in body and balance with just a hint of doughy sweetness to keep the hops from going overboard.
Thin-medium bodied, carbonated well with a slightly resinous and mildly sticky and coating mouth feel. Drinkable, though the bitterness on the back-end may get to some people over time. A bomber might be tough to drink alone, but the citrus and tropical notes could probably pull me through. Either way, definitely a great beer. Unfortunately the West Coast has so many insane IPAs that this one may get overlooked, but it's pretty damn good.

Wow, what a let down!
Between the hype and the price point, I expected way better.
Looked great poured into a tulip glass.
Aroma was really good (not great) and like Jenna Haze, gave great head.
Other than that... What a waste.
Lacked flavor and aftertaste, which for me is big.
Maybe my palete is shit after all the DIPA and TIPA's I've had of late, but other than the other bomber I have, that's it. I'll take a fresh sixer of Torpedo for a buck more.

Very slightly hazed, but nearly clear, golden and light amber with a moderately sized near-white head that leaves appropriately sticky lines down the glass. A gorgeous, perfectly pretty IPA.
As the name would suggest, the aroma is this beer's calling card. Lots of fresh citrus zest and flesh, along with pineapple, and a very mild caramel and bread backbone.
The flavor too is nice, though it doesn't compare to the aroma. Decent amount of citrus and pineapple flavors accentuated by bready malts and a tiny bit of sweetness. Moderate level of bitterness. Complete and wonderfully drinkable.
Medium bodied with moderate-high carbonation.
Probably my favorite Drake's offering to date.

Light, glowing amber/copper type of color, very inviting, as are most of Drake's hoppy offerings (well all of them now that I think about it).
Great mix of pine and citrus, they call it 'aroma' coma for a reason, and its on full display here, very clean, crisp. Lots of c hops. But its the citra in the dry hop that really makes this worth it.
German and magnum bittering hops come out late in the mouthfeel, soft citra hop touches first, bitter stuff later.
I don't know why Drake's isn't liked more, probably just the glut of awesome breweries in CA divides attentions and hype.

A - Dark hazy orange and brown with a light golden tone. White head that leaves nice lacing
S - Sweet citrus with tangerine, orange. There is some pineapple and passion fruit as well and caramel melt sweetness 4.25
T - Orange and pineapple up front. As the beer come along there is light mango and passion fruit to make this sweet up front. There is some hop bitterness that comes thru near the back end to give a pine flavor. The biter and pine linger on in the finish.
M - Medium slightly syrupy body up front. Leaves a hop resin that comes thru with the bitter hops
O - Really good DIPA that balances a sweet tropical and citrus hops up front with a nice pine bitterness in the back

Poured from bomber into a pint glass.
A- Hazy straw-gold body, lots of carbonation on the pour that settles as the beer opens up. Great 2 finger head with decent retention that leaves sticky lacing.
S- YES! Lots of piney/grassy hop, some floral notes. Just hoppy as hell! I love it! Not complex but this is how an IPA should smell!
T- Palate follows nose. Grassy, LOTS of pine, some citrus (bitter grapefruit), caramalt a bit on the finish, but this is a very hop dominated beer! Just too delicious!
MF- Light-medium body, light carbonation, sticky and very long piney/bitter citrus finish that won't let go.
O- This is a great IPA. Must have! Not much more to say than that... I would recommend it to any hop head and IPA lover. I am getting this again and again!

If you like fresh, sticky hops; stick your face in this.
After making a somewhat painstaking trip to find Drake's Brewing Co because of our Uber driver, we got in and tried a few beers. Well, the missus tried a few beers. I remember having and enjoying this beer a lot, so I just jumped right in. It was a good call.
Get this while you can and send me some!
