Bottle shared by Bobby. Thanks.

A: The pour is amber in color with a finger of white head.

S: A really nice nose. Intense and pungent hop aromas. There is plenty of pine to it, but there's also a bit of an herbal aroma, like rosemary, with a nice citrus peel component and a touch of grass. The one black mark is that it's a bit sweet.

T: Really oily and resinous pine provides a nice bitterness and sort of coast that tongue. Some slightly bitter citrus peel and a nice grapefruit flavor. Sort of sweet, but not terribly so.

M: Medium in body with a medium carbonation.

O: Usually these types of flavors aren't my favorite in an IPA, but these worked for me for whatever reason.

Big thanks to Calton for sharing this one at my house on Monday night. Really appreciate it man, loved the vertical/horizontal, whatever we call this.

rich amber color was the liquid that resided underneath of it. Very rich amber and very clear with hardly any haze or cloudiness about it at all. Tons of carbonation streaming up from the bottom of the glass to reinforce the head constantly. Overall this was the look of a classic IPA,

whiff of citrus came over immediately, lots of orange, pineapple, and lemon even starting to come through and really make their presence know. Mixing in was a light amount of sugar, trying to sweeten it up and give it a good amount of balance, but not too much before a huge pine resin like burst overcame that. not very harsh or bitter, but more of a light fruity kind of hop tone to it. The middle was dominated, and I would have to say balanced quite well by some nice grain in the profile. Nice dry feeling in the mouth and a long lingering bitter aftertaste left you looking for another sip almost as soon as you finished the first one.

Pretty nice profile overall I would have to say, although the hop flavors tended to favor the light side

Big thanks goes out to chickencoop for sending me this one in a past trade! Shared this one with mikesgroove during a small ticking session at his house last night. Served from bottle into a Hill Farmstead flute. Poured yellow-orange with a minimal off-white head. Maintained excellent lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of sweet malt, caramel, earth, earthy hop, and caramel hop. The flavor was of sweet malt caramel, earth, and earthy hop. It had a light feel on the palate with medium-high carbonation. Overall this was a good brew. Nothing on this one really stood out, but it wasn't bad either. The earthy hop on this one was a little bit of a letdown for me as it is not my favorite flavor out there, but it did work well with this brew however. Really glad I got the opportunity to try this one and share it as well.

Thanks to Ratman for sharing yet another beer I would probably never have had the opportunity to try. A very good California IPA. Poured a dark golden color with a smallish white head. Good pungent hop aromas, citrus and pine. On the palate, this one is medium bodied and very good, with lots of hoppy flavors.

Served in a snifter @ 38 degrees in Alhambra.

Pours a murky dark golden color withe a finger or two of creamy white head. The head sticks around forever and looks kinda like it was served on Nitro though it was not.

Smells quite sweet and malty.

Unfortunately taste follow smell. Verrrry malty with hops that merely deliver bitterness, and not a whole lot else. Yup just a grassy/ resin bitterness on the finish. Kinda disappointing.

Mouthfeel is excessively heavy for the style with light and smooth carbonation.

Not a fan.

A - Pours with a small head of white foam on a clear, dark golden body. The foam doesn't have much staying power and ur leaves light lace.

S - Intense, fruity hops with notes of grapefruit, pine, and green onions. Some toffee malt in the background provides a bit of contrast.

T - Pine hops and sweet toffee malt come out first. Some spicy notes of black pepper and onion in the middle. It finishes up with sweet toasted malt and sweaty, pine hops as well as moderate bitterness.

M - Medium body, moderately high carbonation, and a slightly sweet finish.

D - Spectacular aroma displayed on a solid background of malt. The flavor isn't quite as well balanced as the aroma, with a musty, sweaty flavor that is nice at first, but becomes cloying toward the end if the bottle. The aroma is still so full and excellent that it makes up for any weakness in the flavor profile.
