Had on tap at Jupiter in Berkeley.

Poured a light amber/reddish color with good clarity and effervescence. Head was two fingers, white, lacy, and dissipated relatively quickly.

Nose was very tropical at first, with an overripe mango or jackfruit coming out first, but then a mellow grapefruit rind and a clean bitterness eased the beer to the finish. Pine is a big player as well.

Taste started with grapefruit (and not just the rind this time) and was a lot more citrusy then tropical compared to the nose. Did get some mango and pineapple, but not a ton. Pine came in next and firmly took control while resin worked in the background. Neither was too strong and they combined well together. Chalky, plant-like bitterness then took the beer from the middle to the finish. Very dry and herbal, the finish was a major strength of the beer. Malts are well utilized to keep things in control, but this is definitely weighted towards the hops, as I don't get much grainy, sweet, or basically any, character from the malt.

Mouthfeel is prickly and lively, with healthy carbonation and a crisp and slick body. Never feels thin, but never feels thick either. Chalkiness is quite nice as well. Drinkability is phenomenal thanks to the superb finish, and the clean yet flavorful nature of the beer is very conducive to extensive drinking. This was a beer well done.
