Black pour, less head than regular Drakonic, which looked excellent, a tough act to follow. Aroma, nice, reveals the heavy roast of the base beer, but a nice tame bourbon chocolate tinge to it.

A little bit of the dark fruit comes out in the taste moreso than I would have liked, dates/figs/raisins combine with the alcohol to give me visions of belgian strong dark ales with fusel like alcohol. Thankfully, the heat stays off this one, but those sherry like dark fruit notes compromised my enjoyment of this slightly.

I guess the word is they aged this in several different bourbon barrels. I was guessing Evan Williams before I heard that, but I'm pretty much just throwing darts at that point.

This beer has a great look to it and awesome lacing but the nose is seriously like rotting orchard, strange grape musk, with an acerbic chocolate waft

The taste is unbearable and feels like drinking while huffing nail polish, I cannot recommend this. The appearance is the only redeeming factor. Pretty but ugly on the inside. Just like all those color guard chicks you pined after so hard.

Black pour, less deep than the base version. Aroma was nice, heavily roasted, mild chocolatey bourbon aroma was after it.

Taste had some harshness from the bitter roast that came off like dark fruit past its prime, getting that nail polish heat and old fruit funk.

Updated: This pours jet black with a cocoa colored cap. Get a big molasses note on the aroma. There’s a long, lingering finish and a hint of orange peel buried under the cocoa roasty character. The beer is heavy with a touch of heat, but exceptionally well balanced and well blended.

This pours a jet black color with thin foam. There’s a great aroma of coffee and dark chocolate, some booze. The heat kicks in when sipped, a great warming boozy bourbon taste that tickles the tinge and lasts for days. Yowza!
