This beer is Aroma Coma that has been dry hopped with Aroma Prieta hops and served from a firkin. I was able to have this beer side-by-side with a regular Aroma Coma served on draft; it was interesting to observe the differences between the two beers.
Aroma Coma Aroma Swap was cloudier, which made it appear a little lighter in color. The carbonation produced larger bubbles in the swap version, perhaps from the hand pump used to dispense the beer.
The smells were similar, however, the Aroma Swap version had an underlying white wine grape smell.
The flavor was where the biggest differences were apparent. The Aroma Coma Aroma Swap flavor was like a Viennese Waltz of hop flavor on my tongue; smooth, flowing, and gentle. Whereas the regular Aroma Coma was like a Paso Doble; sharp, accentuated, and aggressive.
This was an interesting beer that I am glad I had an opportunity to try; although I prefer the regular Aroma Coma over the swap version.
