A: The beer is slightly hazy orange amber in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a short white head that died down, leaving thick lacing on the surface and a collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of grainy malts are present in the nose along with hints of earthy yeast.
T: Like the smell, the taste is rather malty and also has strong earthy notes from the yeast.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer tastes a little maltier compared to other APAs, but is interesting and relatively easy to drink.
Serving type: growler

This is a clean tasting, transparent amber pale ale. It's got a bit of a bite, but nothing offensive.

Look: Deep orange, amber, hint of ruby
Smell: Brown pear, grape cider-ey, floral hops, touch of yeast
Taste: Wheat bread, maple, overripe apple. Finish is molasses, tree sap.
Feel: Medium body, moderate carbonation
Overall: The color on this is so nice. Such a satisfying pour, though maybe woulda liked a bit more head. It has the floral-qualities of some IPAs, but the overall profile is really quite malty without too much lingering bitterness/dankness. Really good APA even if it's a bit different than most I've had.

This is an interesting beer. My brother and I couldn't quite place it and were surprised it was considered an American pale. More malty than expected and bathed in citrus and too much carbonation. Still, interesting and fairly complex for the style.

I tried this on draft at Rivermerket Bar and Grill in Westchester, NY. It poured a clear amber with white head that left a nice lace. The scent had faint citrus character. The taste was nicely balanced with malt forward presence and slight bitter citrus finish. The mouthfeel was medium in body with good carbonation. Overall its a good beer.

On tap. Pours orange with white head Aroma is of caramel malt, citrusy hops and ripe fruit. Body is medium and crisp. Taste is similar to aroma. Long hoppy finish. Good brew.

Chromatic Ale... What else needs to be said. It tastes how it pours, looks and drinks. The most solid amber tj ever come out of the East End of Long Island. Amazing product with two amazing brothers who do it right. Do yourself a favor and find this beautiful amber as soon as you can.

12 oz can...w/o dating info
Reddish amber, lightly hazed, leaves fine lacing.
A hint of malt on the sniff, maple and vanilla coming to mind.
This is a malted up "IPA", more maple and more vanilla on the palate....works as a Scottish ale...

On draft at my fave oyster bar at 28 & 5th NYC - L+W
A) Pours hazy orange amber with a short white head that leaves thick lacing and a collar.
S) Aromas of bright hops, grainy malts and earthy yeast.
T) Follows the smell and becomes an earthy, fall cidery, pungent brew. Likeable - great with oysters.
F) Medium-bodied, moderate carbonation.
O) Maltier than other APAs. Great food & oyster beer.

I really enjoyed this beer. Got a growler of it out in riverhead. Great flavor, smokey, and still very refreshing for a summer day.
Well balanced. Not too hoppy, but a bit of a bite at the front end.
