Thanks to gockets (Reddit) for this one.
Pours a fizzy slight fluffy 1/2 finger slightly darker colored head that fades at a med to slower pace with some decent lacing, over semi clear semi hazy mahogany toasty brown with a touch of a cranberry colored hue.
Nose starts quite sweet smelling, sweet molasses and brown sugar galore, plenty of caramel and nutty aromas, brown malts toasty and sweet, candi sugar and candy syrup, a light marshmallow, and plenty of caramelized toffee.
Taste starts with malt, brown malts and plenty of them, a nice toasty brown malt, tons of caramel, toffee, syrupy flavors, brown sugar and molasses out the wazoo, and some nutty malts, like toffee with nuts around them. Smooth and rich, with a little syrupy flavor, fairly sweet but not too sweet. On the back end is some hops, bringing a decent bitterness with a light earthy and herbal hop, little biscuit like malt brings a nice toasty brown malty caramel candy cookie like flavor. Quite nice. Finish lingers with a bit more bitterness, coats the mouth with caramel and toffee, brown sugar, caramelized toffee, etc, and just a bit of earthy hops, and mostly dry without being too syrupy.
mouth is med to fuller bodied, a bit rich, just a bit syrupy, good carb.
overall I'm digging it quite a bit. Lots of great brown malt flavors, syrupy additions, sweeteners, etc. With just a bit of hops and bitterness to balance, nice full bodied without being too syrupy. Quite tasty, it's like a dessert for me. i quite enjoyed it and wish I could get this regularly.

Pours a murky orange-brown with a foamy khaki head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of toasted malt, biscuit, caramel, and nut aromas. Taste is much the same with toasted nut flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of toast bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with a nice combination of toast and nut qualities.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a very dark mahogany brown with ruby highlights and a half finger light tan head that dissipates to a thin patchy film and ring around the glass, leaving light slippery lacing. Light aroma of bready and caramel malt, nuts and a hint of cocoa. Flavor of mildly toasted biscuit malt, nuts, hints of cocoa and grassy hops. Medium bodied. A mild, unassuming brown ale that hits all the right flavor notes, but is perhaps a bit low key in flavor. Finish is lighter than expected. Good and sessionable, but not too memorable.

In a pint glass, the beer was dark brown with some red highlights. There was a thick tan head that lasted forever, leaving a good deal of lace.
Mild caramel aroma. Some nuts.
Caramel taste. Hazelnuts. Rather muted.
A nice brown ale.
