Dry, Orange, Hoppy, Astringent

From the can it pours a hazy orange-amber topped with a creamy, sticky white lace. Sweet floral, piney hop aroma. Dry, bready malt edge with a juicy orange note followed by an ashy, leafy, resiny, rindy, piney, and grapefruity hop profile. Finish is dry and astringent. A bit too rough around the edges, but a good IPA that’ll should appease most hop heads. Gotta love the Anchorman references too.

Poured from 12oz can into my Diamond Knot pint glass.

Appearance: medium orange hue with a light haze and a light effervescence. Head poured a thin finger of creamy ivory foam. Nothing special, but not bad.

Smell: malty, with lots of bread and biscuit right up front. Hops are citrusy and a bit earthy. Not completely to my taste, but it's clean. The overall effect is quite autumnal.

Taste: quite a bit sweeter than the aroma would suggest; it's quite earthy with a big, toasty, biscuity malt and earthy hops with a bit of citrus thrown in. Again, it seems like a well-crafted beer, but all this biscuit malt is not really to my taste.

Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.

Overall: could be worth a shot if you like toastier, maltier IPAs.

$15.99 for the sixer! Sheesh...

12 oz can, w/o freshness/canning date info.

Pours hazed medium amber. Fluffy off white head and leaves nice looking low sheeting and strands of lace.

Citric hop nose, flows into a fresh hop taste sensation on the palate.

Lite grapefruit as well some herbal hop notes. Fresh and flavorful.

Better then decent, but expensive IPA

Pours a finger and half of head on a cloudy dark straw body.
The aroma is bright, lots of grapefruit and lemon, with a little mango and pineapple.
The taste is a dull bitter start, a little tropical sweetness middle and finishes with a strong dry bitterness. It gets better as it goes.
The texture is crisp.
Quite enjoyable.

From a 12 ounce can.
Hazy gold with two fingers of off white head and good lacing.
Smell is mildly bitter resins.
Taste is medium resin bitterness with just a touch of malts.
Mouthfeel is light to medium.
Overall a medium level IPA. Nothing bad to report but mostly average. Hops are flat line pine bitterness with nothing all that interesting.

Poured from a can into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a medium coppery amber with a thin off-white head that dissipates to light patches. Aroma of light caramel and bready malt, citrus hops and orange family citrus. Flavor follows with a caramel malt body with some biscuit, supporting citrusy, slightly piney hops. Finshes with a somewhat resiny, pine influenced hop bitterness. Medium bodied. A good, but not stand-out IPA, pleasant, but somewhat subdued, hop flavors.
