On draught the MSBC loft, 9TEEN is hazy dull gold with small white collar.
Smell is sweet malt sugars and mildly yeasty. A touch herbal, gaining depth as it warms.
Taste is pretty solid, the zesty saison mineralality and stone fruit are there, and the yarrow really shines though as a plesant complement, bringing a fresh, bright alpine moss note that brings enjoyable complexity. Pretty clean, fairly dry. Nicely done.
Mouthfeel is on the crisp side, lacking the lushness of what I've considered to be their hallmark...not sure if it's just this saison, or something that left with Gabe and Jeremiah...
Drinkability is pretty high, a quality saison in it's on right, the yarrow addition really works well and makes it a very enjoyable, interesting, and anniversary-worthy brew. Although, as I often find with most adjuncts, even when judiciously applied, as is the case here, I start out barely tasting them, and by the end, almost exclusively...
