I know there's a format to these reviews, and I don't really review as much as I would like, but after reading BelgianBeast's homage to this brew, I really can't add anything. I guess my thinking here is basically to refer you the reader to AKBelgianBeast's wordsmithing and take it all as the gospel truth. This is a good damned brew. Really good. Rather than waste time duplicating what Frank wrote, I think I am just gonna go have another glass. Carry on.

Pours a moderately cloudy yellowy orange that glows when held to the light. A fluffy white head lingers for a long time and leaves Good lacing up top that thins to moderate lacing as it is consumed.
The nose is alot of light fruit fructose like sweetness, some very dry yeast smell, and a bit of spice. Belgian yeast smell is heavy. Defenitely a bit of appley flavor and some pepper.
Taste runs out of the gate, and sort of jumps into a strong golden-like flavor. Alot of light fruit sweetness. The spice presence is large, but it is not overbearing, just complex. Some citrus notes for sure. Knowing M sun it's probable that they threw some coriander into this and that may be what i am getting. Strong belgian yeast flavors (duh) There is a slight soapy character to it, not in a bad way, but i dont know how else to describe it. I dont want to say floral, and indicate that it is a hop like flavor or aroma, but it is like potpourrish soapiness. That doesnt sound good, but It is very subtle, and it is not a bad thing, just a characterisitic. The finish is incredibly dry. Almost saison like dryness. Light fruits and spice linger on the aftertaste, and some slight sugar remains on the lips.
Mouthfeel is very nice, but is not entirely accurate to the tripel style. It is just a touch too dry. Im not saying tripels arent dry, but this bastards finish is DRY. Slightly less carbonated and a bit thicker, but I am not going to dock this any because as far as Im concerned Its a goddamn belgian style strong golden ale. And I dont mean that is the style, I mean fuck styles.
Drinkability is fantasmical as far as the abv is concerned. If you are not careful this one will give you some facial rugburn. Goes down mighty easily, and sits well when it gets there. Very good drinkability.
Overall, probably not as close to style as some of their other tripels, but equally as good. It is somewhat of a style melding brew (not uncommon these days at Midnight Sun, or american brewing in general) Not style melding like a Bourbon/Scotch/Brandy/Wine Barrel Aged Coffee Imperial Oatmeal Vanilla Chocolate Rye Porter Brewed with Brett like your thinking, but simply a good and tasty and drinkable and enjoyable and easy drinking high abv belgian style brew. If your in the area, and are a freak like me and can describe any 10% beer as "sessionable" this is the one. hahaha. Give it a shot. You wont regret picking up a growler. Good brew once again.
