On tap at the brewpub.
A - Very dark hazy brown with a very thin white head that quickly moves to the edges.
S - Not much. Some wood and malts.
T - Bitter wood and watery. AD I know you are in there.
D - Light body and ok carbonation.
O - Dissapointed. Watery AD leftovers?

On draught at MSBC, The Ripper is pale auburn with a small white collar leaving barely a drop of lace. Has a stillness to it.
Smell is mild, a little caramel apple. The caramel gains strength as it warms.
Taste is fairly sweet, caramel and oranges, a touch of green apple as well. Nice malty depth with a bitter finish. Swishing it around alot brings out the savory and bitterness and it reminds me a lot of John Courage, an early favorite of mine.
Mouthfeel is creamy and a bit dry.
Drinkability is pretty high, this is a really tasty ESB with flavors I haven't had the pleasure to enjoy in some time. Especially as it blooms with warmth.
