Regretting it now that I paid almost $10 for this at Home Brew Stuff in Garden City ... I knew it would be a wild card, but this is pretty terrible (especially given the $$$) Dark golden brew with a nice head and retention. The nose is watered down malt extract and some background pineapple hoppiness... but it smells pretty bad given the promise on the label. Flavor shows heavy muddy pale malts and light fruity hops and lite spicy hoppiness. Body is too heavy for the carbonation and any remnants of good flavor on the palate. I am super pissed I spent the dough on this bottle... Shelves that are WAAAYYY too hot for the bottles sitting there, this is an abomination for something that is supposed to be a DIPA.

22oz bottle served in a snifter.
L - clear bright copper color with a white head that thinned to a ring leaving just a few lacing spots on the glass.
S - tropical fruits and brown sugar.
T - tropical fruit and orange chuckles candy with a dry bittering on the finish.
F - medium bodied, smooth feel, easy drinkability.
O - a good example of the style.
