To-Go Bar on ground level. The kitchen in The Loft is now open, 11am - 8pm every day (Alaska state laws require breweries to be closed by 8pm). Their menu can be perused at their website. Remember, they are remaining licensed as a brewery only, not a brewpub, so per the State of Alaska, there is a 36 oz. on-site consumption limit per person, per day in the Loft.

What trip to Alaska would be complete without stopping here twice? Once to taste and twice to buy of course.
So, it's f'ing impossible (almost) to navigate here via bus. However, if you see the homebrew store from the main drag, you can go in there and they have a map of it on the wall in relation to their store. Wonder if this has happened before?
Finally after bumbling around like drunken vagrants for hours, we walk into the industrial park that Midnight Sun calls their very own. Walk up the stairs, there's beer in there! 12 or 15 beers on tap, varying prices, tremendous selection. 1st time they had Pride, Tree Hugger, and a bunch of other delicious treats that I have written down here somewhere. 2nd time the 2nd Hand Smoke, 2nd running from some stupid imperial stout these fools are making. Just missed out on Arctic Devil. Maybe next time?
Anyway, the food was pretty solid. They have notebooks in the window sills listing all their series brews they've done over the last 4 years, which was pretty cool to geek out on.
If you step out on the back patio, you can see people working on a school bus. Sweet!
Would've loved a brewery tour, but apparently they're more or less sticklers for that Thursday time slot. Maybe I didn't try hard enough.
Anyways, aside from the location, which I'm sure cost was a tremendous factor in getting them the space they needed, an outstanding place. And a must-visit.
