I walked by this place numerous times without really noticing it. Its a good thing I finally did because its amazing. It is small in size but the space is utilized as best as possible and the shop punches above its weight. The selection is quite good and a variety of styles are well represented.

For me, I think that the service is a defining factor. I have been helped by 2 different staff members and each were great. I am used to a high level of service coming from Canada and this shop is even better that that. It was a very welcome surprise.

The shop is close to my house, but I think that it would be worth a bit of a trip to check it out.

Amazing place - Muree Squires, the owner of the place, is exceptionally knowledgable and keeps the place stocked with only fantastic beers primarily from the UK and Belgium (though Germany is also well represented). Along with the beer there's a great selection of continental beer glasses and hard-to-find wines.

Make sure you bring your wallet as it's certainly not cheap (and has got more expensive since the pound crashed against the euro), but I find myself being drawn to the place more and more often.

It's a gem of a place, and I'm glad it's on my doorstep.

With 500 bottles this place was smaller then I expected. They had shelves on the walls and crates on the floor. All thou the place was small and had alot of bottles, I liked the way the store was. The own (or who I assume was the owner) was very friendly. I asked him what beers that he recommended or that were hard to hind. He pointed out a few and made suggestions. They have a large selection of English and Belgian beers. After purchasing the beer I talked to him for about five minutes. I plan on making least one hopefully two more trips to this great store. If in the area well worth a stop.

The ultimate beer shop! My visit to "The Offie" was something to remember. I checked upon this beer store before visiting Leicester and printed out a map with the opening hours of the shop. It said 16:30. I went there at about 16:10 with 2 friends of mine and waited outside, which btw it was snowing, until it became 17:00 to open. When i finally got in i realized that it was worth the waiting. 500+ beers and MANY unique and RARE glasses. The owner was very helpful and also made me a 15% at the end and also gave me lots of gifts. If you ever find yourself in Leicester this is the place to visit!
