Chugach Session is a Cream Ale; brewed cool like a lager, but with an ale yeast. Think of it as an American Kolsch; rich, balanced and easy drinking.

12oz can. Poured out a clear, straw-yellow color with a small, khaki-colored head of foam. It left minimal lacing on the glass. It smelled of caramel, toffee, hay and straw. Sweet caramel and toffee taste with a mild bitterness. Crisp, sharp and light bodied.

At Capital Brew fest. Mini snifter. The appearance was a nice looking semi - clear yellow color with a spotty lacing speckling the sides of the glass. The smell was sweet with a decent corn malt and a light grainy / grassy wheatiness coming on it. The taste was once again sweet through the corn. On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. This one had a decent carbonation about it. It was nice and smooth as a good cream ale should be. Overall, good for the style and am glad I was able to try more than enough amounts of this today.

Decent mild sweetness and refreshing wheat flavors with some grass and creamy corn. Thought I'd had this but actually found it to be pleasantly drinkable.

I apologize for the late upload of this, but I had this in a mini - snifter at the Capital Brewfest in Juneau.
The appearance was a glossy yellow color with a fair transparency about it. Some light carbonation was seen rising. There wasn't much of a head, but that's probably due to the bar pour.
The smell had a decent sweet corn with a light grainy / grassy wheatiness coming in on it.
The taste was once again sweet through the corn.
The mouthfeel was actually fairly "creamy," interesting, well go figure - how about that, right.
Overall, it made for a good session and allowed me to be able to get to some other brews during the fest.
