Canopy is a Pale Ale that comes out guns blazing with copious amounts of Mosaic and Belma hops, and quickly cemented itself as a bartender favorite from the very first pint poured. Bursting at the seems with its innate fruity and juicy nature, we add a healthy dose of imported base and specialty malts to help provide this pale ale with a balanced grainy character laced with subtle honey notes to compliment the decadent hop profile. After piling in as much Mosaic and Belma hops as we can fit in the tank, Canopy begins to waft to the heavens a gigantic hoppy nose drenched with scents of fresh picked strawberries, ruby red grapefruit, blueberries, white wine grapes, honeydew, and pomelo wedges. As the malt and hop profiles begin to meld that assertive strawberry and honeydew notes meld with the honey notes from the malt and create an almost cotton candy like flavor and aroma that surprises the sense and gets your palate excited to travel the Canopy profile all over again, sip after sip.

On tap at Fieldwork's Sacramento tap room.
Look: Light golden.
Smell: Woo! Mosaic beauty. Cantaloupe destroys your nostrils.
Taste: Delicious. All the mosaic offerings sort of blend together for me. But this one is just so tasty. A great combo of dryness followed by melon-forward sweetness.
Feel: Light, crisp, dry, and bitter. It just rests so perfectly on your tongue.
Overall: Fieldwork does not make a bad beer that features the Mosaic hop. Possibly my favorite of the bunch. Honestly, it's hard to distinguish between this and Shoreline. The only difference is how the alcohol content hits me after finishing the pint. I feel almost no buzz following Canopy's 5.2%. But Shoreline is a different story.

Draught pour at Davis Beer Shoppe into a shaker pint. Pours golden yellow with thin layer of low density white head that dissipates quickly and left little lacing. Nose is very tropical and floral, quite enjoyable. Taste is mostly tropical with a bit of citrus. Mouthfeel is great, carbonation gone. and the finish quite astringent. Liked this one, will definitely get again if I see it.
