2010 bottle @ Nüetnigenough

Clear golden beer with a white head. Looks like a gueuze!

A sharp tartness to it and plenty of funk especially on the taste where this beer seems to shine. Wood, mustiness, stone fruit, grapefruit, green grape.

Perfect carbonation for the beer and ends dry.

A must try gueuze.

2010 vintage (2013 bottling). Teku glass.

There is some beer under the cap but over the cork that smells like an old wine cellar.

A: Pours a hazy, light golden color with a half finger of fluffy, sloppy white head. Some champagne-like bubbles. Very good retention and a few streaks of lacing.

S: A mild aroma featuring funkiness upfront, along with grass, flowers, white grape, fruit-like light orange, sugar-coated lemon, and stone fruit.

T: Funk and earthiness with straight new oak, a mild tartness, with some flowery and honey notes, and vague fruitiness. Mild tannic bitterness which is accentuated by the bone dryness.

M: Medium-light, soft carbonation and medium body.

O: Very tasty and exceedingly drinkable at 5% and with such light tartness. Among the LP versions, I think the Kriek is my favorite. This is about as good as 3F OG. Off the top of my head, I can’t distinguish this and Classic Gueuze.
