bottle pours a pinkish rouge with no head and a thin rim. no lacings or retention. mildly hazy.
aroma is funky with a light bit of cherries and a distinct wet hay character, close to the funk. not sour in the nose but pleasant with a lightly fruity aura.
taste is mildly fruity with a light funk and a bit of wet hay right alongside the cherries. very well put together on the palate with an acidic finish of residual fruit with a light tartness.
mouthfeel is lightly tart with a medium body and an acidic finish with a lightly tart aftertaste as well. the sour gets more pronounced as the beer warms a bit.
drinkability is very good. the fruit is understated enough to work alongside the sour and funk instead of cover it up. very tasty and pleasant withhout ending up overly tart. cheers!
