2012 375 ml poured into a Jester King stemmed glass.

A: Pours a slight off white head made of extremely creamy bubbles with large bubbles pilling in the center but quickly dissipated to a slight rim of tiny bubbles. Medium carbonation and an amazing clear golden yellow color. This is a beautiful crisp looking beer.

S: Light funk with citrus on the nose. Some tropical fruit Brett hints with Lactic acidity in there as well. Very clean sour aroma with the funkiness coming through when swirled and force it to release carbonation.

T: Tart but not extremely sour. I'm not getting much funk in the taste however. Carbonation is not as high as I would expect but I've swirled a couples time so I didn't help that situation. Bitter as it finishes but starts with some citrus combined with a slight tropical fruit character from the Brett but does not last very long. Very drinkable and refreshing. Getting extremely better as it warms up...

M: Dry and finishes with a nice bitterness that leaves you wanting more and more. I can drink this all day. The bitterness is not your typical IPA hop bomb bitterness but more of a tonic water bitterness that complements the tartness.

O: A great and classic example of the style, hence its name. Very drinkable, refreshing and interesting but not as much funk as I would like but I can see why this is a bench mark for the style. This bottle is relatively young so I'm extremely interested to see how it ages. Well worth a try and will continue to snatch this every time I see it. Also, nest time I will serve this slightly above the recommended 50-55 deg f since I thought it improved as it warmed.
