Brewed in 1996. Luminous deep orange with some reddish notes. Great head retention (unlike the first bottle I tried). Solid off-white head, tight active beads of carbonation. Intense sour nose. Not citrusy. Some raspberry or cherry and slightly musty. Waves of sour grapes and intensely tart hints on nose. Mouth-puckeringly sour. Quick sweet burst quickly fades into long, drawn-out sour finish. Sweet and sour are constantly at play here. Sour on surface, while sweet deep in the beer's backbone. Some fresh berry skin flavor behind the sour. Highly refreshing.
