330mL bottle into tulip. bottled September 26, 2012.
A: hazy, ruby grapefruit meat colored. bright white head. good retention, thick lacing.
S: sweet raspberry puree, but as I smell it again there is a real thick funk. musty earthy smell. however still plenty of raspberry.
T: similar to the nose, the must is very strong. a yeasty snap of bitterness right smack in the middle to a dry, dry finish. sweetness throughout but the funk sort of takes over.
M: almost champagne-like carb. light bodied. perfect.
D: good lambic beer from a brewery that is always mentioned when talking about benchmarks for the style. super light and refreshing. the must is super strong as stated and is greater on the drink than the nose. however I found this must to be a little intrusive on the raspberries so I had to take a few points off.
