Poured from a 375ml bottle. Bottled 21 March 2011.
Pours a transparent glowingly pinkish red fluid with very tight bubbles and off white lacing. Great look!
The smell is raspberry patch, funky barnyard, slight acetic sour, and a touch of hot cinnamon. The raspberry patch comes through with the sour component of the fruit as well as slight hint of green vine notes. There is also a good component of vanilla and woody oak notes.
The taste is a nice balance of berry fruit character and barnyard funky. Nice pucker factor from the medium strong sour component. Finish is slightly acetic.
Mouthfeel is silky but well carbonated. Lovely effervescence.
Overall this is a great framboise but which all others are judged.

Small bottle format of this Cantillon bottled in 2013
Appearance: clear red with a pink head that fizzed out rather quickly- hard to look away from it's so bright red
Smell: funk and barrel notes - some fruity notes here too. One dimensional but really good to smell
Taste: sparkling raspberry juice with funkiness on the palate as it washes down. Slight bitterness in the waay aftertase I assume are the hops - this beer has everything I want in a wild ale. Fruity not too sour.
Mouthfeel: awesome when cold. Real refreshing and fizzy. Really holds the temp very well.
Overall: I'm stoked to be having this brew for brunch. It pairs well with cheese and other fruits. I'd be down to buy it again as the bottle looks so cool and the tartness inside is soo tasty -
