Poured into a wine glass. Cloudy ruby-red color with a one inch white head. Decent retention but no lacing.
Aroma of funk/mildew, cherries, and fermented fruit juice.
Flavor consisted of a smooth sweetness followed by a very puckering tart vinegar/cherry flavor. The vinegar flavor was almost as powerful as the sour/tart cherry flavor.
Medium-full bodied with carbonation and a lingering tart flavor on the palate for a minute or two after each sip.
Definitely have to sip this lambic. Unless you want your eyes to water and start crying and give yourself heartburn, don't chug it! Girlfriend liked this brew too, she's a big fruit lambic fan and I think it's rubbing off on me...
