Poured from a bottle at the brewery.

A-Pours a brilliant pinkish/red with pink foam

S-Sour raspberries with a little funky yeast.

T-Sour upfront with a fruity fresh picked raspberry taste but not sweet.

M-Smooth and slightly puckering with a slight bitter/sour finish.

D-Easier to drink than the guezue.

O-Sour-raspberries-smooth describe this beer best. The ladies like this 1 better than the kriek...I guess I do too.

Picked up a 75 cL bottle from the Cantillon Brewery in Brussels. Noticed that the bottle has a new label, mostly the same as the old one except that the girl's clothes are gone.

A- Pours a vibrant red color, produces a finger of bubbly pink head that quickly fizzles down to a wisp.

S- Tart and fruity, citrus and some apple, yeast funk in the background.

T- The first sip is like eating one of those Warhead candies, huge blast of tartness. Once you get used to it you can pick up on a really nice raspberry flavor, some earthy, barnyard yeast flavor, with a bit of spice in the background. Like all Cantillon brews they only use real fruit and not any kind of artificial flavoring, so the fruit isn't overpowering or very sweet, but blends into the background of the tartness and yeast in a pretty nice way.

M- Medium bodied, well carbonated, crisp with a dry, tart finish.

O- Another outstanding, refreshing brew from Cantillon, this beer is made only with five natural ingredients (water, wheat, barley, hops, raspberries) and wild yeast, which the beer reflects this in its simplicity and flavor. I have huge respect for beers like this.

Review from notes.

A- Bright red/pink pour with a finger width white crackling head that recedes to practically nothing. Lacing is minimal.

S- Apple cider, fresh raspberries, subtle funk with some cranberry and cherry sourness.

T- Lemon, raspberries, cherries and cranberries. Sour as all get out but refreshing. Fresh raspberries, sour cider vinegar with a noticeable musty taste.

M- Light to medium bodied. Tartness digs right into the cheeks and jawbone. Lively carbonation.

O- My first Cantillon, one of my first lambics (true to style lambics) and it is just remarkable. The price was a little steep ($22.99 for a 750ml but was definitely worth the treat to myself)

This was part of a 13 bottle horizontal tasting I did with #alexgrahamlv, #destral, #JSBerkowitz, and #nogidrew. It was a 2009 bottle and we drank it 12/9/2011

A- Poured a bright red color, vibrant.

S- Only real disappointment for me. Smelled more like acetone than fruit.

T- Fruit forward, but not over powering; could taste underlying sourness was and it was complimented by the tasrtness of the fruit

M- Mild carbonation and lingers on pallete for a short time

I've had this beer both very old and very young. Two years is the perfect age for it!

Poured from a pretty 12oz bottle corked and capped into an Ithaca Excelsior Tulip. There was a little bit of moisture between the cork and the cap. Cork pulled off with a very solid pop.

A: Crystal clear plum color. Gentle pour (as directed by the instructions on the bottle) lead to a fizzy 3-finger light-lavender head that dissipated to a gentle 1/4 finger layer that sticks. No lacing.

S: Sour funk, typical lambic nose with a hint of raspberry - not absent but not at all overpowering. It's the tartness of the raspberry that dominates the nose rather than the sweetness of it.

T: Deliciously tart raspberry mixed with some nice woody undertones and the beautiful yeasty funk that comes along with any world class lambic. This one is no different. It's not overly complex but that's the beauty of it. Very very good.

M: Lighter body, wonderfully carbonated. Not as dry or crisp of a finish as I was looking for but not far off either.

O: A really delicious beer. The only disappointment is the mouthfeel and that's not really that big of a deal in this case because everything else in this beer is superb. This is my introduction to Cantillon and it's a dandy.

Had this beer a few months back with a nice dinner. Reviewing from notes scribbled down later on. Was a 2010 750ml

This beer pours a nice red color with a fairly thin white head that dissipated rather quickly. The smell is slightly funky with a definite raspberry tartness to it. There are also some hints of lemon in there. The flavor is wonderful, nice ripe raspberry flavor that is quickly whisked away by a nice sourness and slight funk. The mouthfeel is light with good carbonation and a good bite to it. Overall this beer is excellent and I can understand why cantillon in general is becoming harder to find stateside. Hopefully they are able to furor expand in the future and send more of their wonderful beers to the US
