750 bottle with pressure cap and corked. Vintage 2010. bottled 8/29/12.
poured into Cantillon wine stem.
Appearance: medium red colored beer with 3 finger of head that quickly drops tothin ring around glass.
Smell: moderately sour nose. Tart cherries. Slight funkiness.
Taste: Mild sourness atleast a 4/10; also has moderate funkiness. It is more funky that I expected from the nose. The funkiness is the signature funky note from most Cantillon sours. Tart cherries and a hint of lemon in the finish.
Mouthfeel: low end of medium bodied beer with low end of moderate carbonation levels. This sour is very drinkable. Fantastic drinkability. I really enjoy how awesome the mouthfeel on this beer is. Semidry finish.
Overall: After finally having all three of the LP series Cantillions; Its close to a toss up which of the Lou Pepe series beer that I like better. I think the gueuze wins by a small margin.
