Bottled in 2001. Opened in celebration of bring leaving California. Thanks, Barry. Had I known you were saving this for your farewell party I would have helped you search for houses myself.
Hands down the finest lambic named after a woman's nether regions. Reeks of an apricot tree - bark and all. Tastes of stone fruit and fruit stones. The funk is a given.
But this one is not that puckering. Don't get me wrong - it's sour. But on a scale of one to five, one being mild empuckerment and five being total facial implosion, this is about a three. Time has stripped the fruit of its tartness and robbed the beer of its punch.
A little past its prime.
