The "F**k Yo Passport" Tasting. 375ml bottle, 2004 cork, into Cantillon taster.

Pours orange, thin fizzy white head. This beer is also insanely sour, even moreso the the 2005 cork Groseille à Maquereau. Basically just lots of sourness and little red current character, if at all. Oak, lemon peel, funk. Pretty one-dimensional. Light body, very dry finish.

I preferred the Groseille à Maquereau over this one, but neither blew me away. I’d rather have more complexity then just palate-destroyingly sour. Very excited to try but a bit let down in both Groseille’s for the most part.

375ml bottle @ One Pint Pub, Helsinki

2002 vintage! - Pours light orange with a smooth head. Aroma of sour berries, redcurrant, malts and earthy notes. Taste is extremely sour with a lot of berries, redcurrant and fruits. Finish is again quite sour with some malty and fruity notes. Quite extraordinary and extreme lambic.

Bottled in 2002. Made for One Pint Pub in Helsinki, Finland.

This one's made with redcurrants. The 375ml bottle pours copper with orange chunks. My nostrils pucker at the smell -- unbelievably tart red berries. Warily, I take a sip.

Sharp, tart, unripe berries, followed by sharp, sour lambic. After a few minutes, the taste opens up and notes of cranberries and crabapples come through, along with some twigs and pebbles.

This is full bodied, even silky. An interesting lambic.
