330 ml bottle poured into my DFH pint glass yields a big black body with a crown of fine-bubbled khaki foam with excellent retention that leaves scattered lacing.

Smells nice and roasty with chocolate and coffee and a nice roasted barley note.

Tastes of roasted malts with brown sugar and tangy caramel with chocolate and coffee highlights and a touch of licorice.

Medium-full-bodied with a sting of carbonation. Excellent drinkability.

Pours a thick black with a lot of lace through the entire tasting of this fine beverage.

Tastes of chocolate malt, coffee, smokey, and the warming of high gravity.

I think this beer for the money is an excellent brew! I was a little skeptical at first, but I came around and bought it. Who would have know that they make good beer in Sri Lanka.

A very dark brown to black color pour with two fingers of foamy coco head.Aroma of Semisweet chocolate and burnt malt grain. Flavor is slightly sweeter than the aroma would have you believe, sweet and bitter chocolate, coffee beans, and maybe a hint of earthy vanilla, a nice hint at the alcohol in the very end, nice little bitter aftertaste, velvety mouthfeel, smooth carbonation.Very good, I would love to drink a couiple of these.

A six pack was part of my birthday present from my wife, who doesn’t know much about beer. She picked it out on her own…a great present! 12 oz bottle marked 595 17:18, with a photo and quote of Michael Jackson on the back, poured into a nonic pint glass

A—pours solid black with a 1 ½ inch mocha colored head that collapses down nicely into a foamy blob, spotty lacing is produced as I drink

S—fruit and coffee are blended well, alcohol comes out, too, sweet chocolate is also very mild

T—can really taste the bitter roasted coffee and sweet chocolate flavors, somewhat nutty notes, like the smell, the flavors are blended very well, finishes a bit dry

M—thick and smooth, full bodied, perfect carbonation

D—a solid stout, very warming and filling, drinkable, but three might do it due to the thickness and 8% abv.

Pours clean black, with tan head about 1/2 finger. Strings of red trace the head and along the sides.
Smell of light coffee. Nothing too potent, some cocao and roasted malt. A bit of toast as well.
Taste is clean. A balance of chocolate and coffee with hints of roasted malt. This is a good stout, probably one for those who've never had a stout.
The bomber bottle didn't last long.

625ml bottle, poured into a tulip glass. Served slightly chilled

Pours with a rich brown body with black and crimson highlights. Thick tan head forms about two centimetres thick with good retention. Lots of patchy lacing

Smell, smooth estery roasted malt, some fresh coffee aromas, slight hint of dms which kind of throws you off slightly... not something you'd expect from a stout especially one this size.

Taste, crisp and fairly carbonated. Choking chalky flavours, rich fresh coffee beans, Bournville dark chocolate, slight butteriness. Little hint of vegetal flavours, some smokiness present along with a slightly sour sweetness on the finish. Very thin mouthfeel, for an 8% stout I would have expected a much thicker, richer and more full bodied beer. Some slight hop character floating around too, not so much for bitterness but for flavouring

A solid stout let down by a pretty thin mouthfeel and a few off flavours in the form of DMS, still worth a try
