Bought from a six pack at a local specialty store, owner described it as very "malty". Poured an appropriate head, definitely has a distinctly malt smell to it.

First taste took me back on how sweet it came off, almost a meady type of sweetness to it. However, this dissipated within the first two sips. Flavor was not that complex, as other Pilsners can be.

True, the alcohol content is a great deal more than what you'd expect from a Pilsner, but that's not really an excuse for a beer that just tastes like something you'd usually buy in a 40 oz. bottle.

For $10, you'd be much better off getting something with a more definite character.

Well it's a hot day here in Colombo, not sure how we will go with this one

A - Pours a clear golden colour with a white head that reduces quickly.

S - small amounts of grains, malts and sweetness

T - up front some decent grains, then the malt kicks in. Up to then it's ok but a severe booze flavour overwhelms the palate.

M - light to medium body with low carbonation

O - this is really just a strong lager. With such a beer it's hard to mask the alcohol and sugar. They have masked the sugar but not the alcohol. Would not seek out again.

Oh my god, this is one of the all time worst beers! I poured it a bit too cold which should have benefitted this, but its quality shown thru. The beer reeked of sweet solvents. One taste and I almost retched; had to dump it and wash my mouth out. If you want somebody to leave your party, give them this beer.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a tulip.

I'm a little jaded with this review but I guess my impulsiveness serves me right. Its called Imperial, the bottle is black, and I've had Lion Stout before and enjoyed it. So Lion Imperial to my surprise... is a pilsner.

A: Golden yellow with moderate 2 fingers of head.

S: Grains. Some floral hops but very mild.

T: Cereal grains and sugar, plus extra sugar, with some sugar. A subtle smokiness. Hops are nearly absent.

M: This is a pilsner? It's a little thick, somewhat syrupy. The beer is flat, essentially without carbonation.

O: Meh. As I said, I thought I was buying the Imperial Lion Stout. I won't get the pilsner ever again. I've had so many better and cheaper pilsners...
