Went here with a few friends for the IPA festival that included Younger, Elder...and my personal favorite...Sculpin. Incredible! It was a good showdown between the three...but that crazy fish got the best of both Pliny's. Anyways, here I go...

A: Right next the docks on the boardwalk, I walked into a lively cathedral that was home to many wonderful beers. The scene seemed to be a mix of old and young, but slightly leaning towards a 20's crowd. Good music, a lot of TV's, and decent food.

Q: Beer is top notch and in abundance. The service was pretty good as well, and the bartender had a surplus of knowledge about the brews he was serving.

S: Like I said, nothing to complain about here. Very knowledgable beer people...which ultimately means....good people.

S: WOW! I went here for a special occasion, so I'm not sure what they have on tap regularly...but seemed pretty awesome. I enjoyed the following brews: Pliny the Younger, Pliny the Elder, Sculpin, Racer X, Mahajara, Rubicon IPA, 90 minute...you get the point.

F: Even though I didn't order food, my friends were willing to share some of their's with me. Bascially a decent burger joint with a few more things added to the menu.

Overall: Like my buddy Pehlman said...I would like to come here when they don't have anything special going on in order to get a real fee for the place, but I anticipate my opinion now won't change. A must see if you're in the So. California area. Cheers!

It's really hard to rate this place. The selection is obviously incredible and the best around hands down. But the crowd/atmosphere is not so great and seemingly not there for the ridiculous beer selection. I prefer going when it's less crowded so I can just chill out and really enjoy what I'm tasting.
