So my good friend Jim and his ever patient girl loaded up the ole car and made the trek down to the world famous Naja's this past Saturday and I'm glad we took this delayed birthday celebration.
I'm firmly of the belief that folks fall on the side of liking the atmosphere of a dockside bar or hating it and the mixing of sea folk and land folk. :) But that's the atmosphere of Naja's and its a heady mix that comes to full fruition when the beer lover gets a hold of the beer menu: 75 taps, 1 active beer engine (pouring Pliny the Younger last) and a raft of bottles hiding in the fridge. Definately not for the faint of heart or liver or will.
Loud rocking music on the weekends keeps the energy level up, while the second narrow bar provides a respite and a hiding place from the antics.
Food is simple, but tasty.. Just make sure to get there before the kitchen takes his dinner break or you'll have to have a few beers before being able to order from the simple menu.
This place is run by a passionate homebrewer and he's always there and always has the attitude of a kid in a candy store. Make sure you say hi to Jason and pay him a high compliment for taking Naja's to the next level.
