Poured from bottle into fluted Deschutes pint glass (closest thing to a weizen glass I own...)
Poured a orange/brown hue with an average 1" head to start that quickly vanished to almost no head and little lacing. I have had the bottle for at least 6 months, so perhaps it sat too long? I'll purchase a new one and update (I'll probably buy about 100 more because this is so good).
Hugely aromatic with gobs and gobs of spice, banana, fig, fresh dates, almond, and a lovely vegetal note that is not quite fresh, not quite funky. Superb!
On the palate you really get the banana, clove, and that vegetal note. Again, it's nice, not unpleasant. A little funky yeast on the palate too.
Texture is lovely, massive wall to wall flavor and huge grip despite being very light in body. Finish sticks on the palate for what seems like an eternity. Very low tannins but nicely balanced acidity and alcohol.
This beer kicks some serious ass and is on my regular to buy list from now on! I think my comments centered around how amazing this beer is in the summer, yet with enough going on to be very enjoyable even in those rainy, cold Portland winters.

Cloudy golden yellow pour with a foamy two-finger white head. Really nice yeast and lemon aroma. Medium body that has a lot of spice and yeast flavors upfront. Lots of carbonation. Can also taste clove, light lemon, banana, and bread. Very traditional and a prime example of the style.
