Appearance: Cloudy, pale gold color with a big, fluffy white head

Aroma: Lots of banana, a little bready, some wheat malt, faint spice and yeast. Pretty much textbook Hefe aroma.

Taste: Crisp and snappy up front, with some malt sweetness, a hint of honey and some yeast tang. Banana is more prevalent in the middle, then some clove on the mildly astringent finish.

The Rest: An Excellent Hefeweizen. Crisp and clean, excellent malt characteristics, a great example of the style.

Objectively one of the best beers I've ever had!

On a whim, I selected this Bavarian beauty at a local establishment "Pies and Pints" in Charleston, WV.

This brew's golden hue, stable head, sweet aroma and fantastic clean taste sets it a part from most.

It's thick head is a misnomer that the beer sits heavy on the stomach but for a beer of such pleasantly sweet characteristics it drinks quite light.

Fruity in every sense of the word with hints of banana, clove and honey but not overdone. Yet it's golden wheat finish lives up to its German Heritage with fine Bavarian traits.

Pricey, yet worth the opulent tag. A must try. Cheers!

Pours a slightly cloudy deep gold with a nice foamy white head than dissipates fairly quickly, leaving a little bit of soapy lacing. The aroma is great, with light aromas of yeast, spice and fruity esters. The taste is very similar with a nice blend of all the components on the finish. The body is light but full and just a little bit of carbonation. Truly a delicious wheat beer.
