Great hefe. I poured this bottle into my recently purchased Ayinger weizen glass, and it looks fantastic. Though the glass definitely helps out (great ripple pattern), it's a real beauty of a beer with a glowing yellow-orange body, hazily opaque, and an enormous white crown of gigantic bubbles and foam. The aroma is wheat, bananas and spice. It leans more toward clean, sweet wheat/banana than spice (probably closer to the Weihenstephaner than the Schneider), but the spice is definitely there. The taste is bready sweet. It's like a liquid cake with hints of banana and clove/vanilla bean. Mouthfeel is spot on, and it goes down smoothly and easily. I would be very happy to drink a glass every day with lunch.
