A: Hazy pale yellow, coarse white head that dissipates and leaves no lacing. Energetic streams of bubbles.

S: Lemon, banana, clove that verges on bubblegum but is still welcome.

T: Those lighter fruit notes, with misty orange thrown in there and clove now mixed with some coriander. Faint soft vanilla on the finish. Good range, especially considering the method used to produce them, but just a bit too weak for my preference.

M: Light, well carbonated, dry. Good refreshing aspect.

O: Super easy drinker while still having a great array of flavors, but I would expect a standard for the style to be more resolute in flavors. The balance between each was fantastic, but mature doesn't have to mean weak.

Appearance: Hazy, opaque almost yellow with a big pillowy head and excellent lacing.

Aroma: Fairly intense yeast esters of banana with a hit of clove in the back.

Flavor: Light wheaty character up front with the same banana-clove finish.

Mouthfeel: Medium-light, milky with a slight ester linger.

A classic hefe example.

Objectively one of the best beers I've ever had!

On a whim, I selected this Bavarian beauty at a local establishment "Pies and Pints" in Charleston, WV.

This brew's golden hue, stable head, sweet aroma and fantastic clean taste sets it a part from most.

It's thick head is a misnomer that the beer sits heavy on the stomach but for a beer of such pleasantly sweet characteristics it drinks quite light.

Fruity in every sense of the word with hints of banana, clove and honey but not overdone. Yet it's golden wheat finish lives up to its German Heritage with fine Bavarian traits.

Pricey, yet worth the opulent tag. A must try. Cheers!

Fresh banana and yeast aroma and flavor, simple but among the best hefeweizens.
