A - The clear golden orange color shines brilliantly as a steady stream of carbonation rises to the slightly off-white head. The foam rises up quickly and lowers very slowly to a decent layer of froth while leaving legs and clumps of lacing on the glass.
S - Delicious smelling malts are abundant in the rich aroma; toasted bread with biscuit undertones. It has a moderate sulfur character to it with almost no hop presence in the aroma.
T - Ayinger's Oktober Fest-Märzen is a pure malt pleasure that's toasty, but lightly so, and sweet with a bit of a kettle caramelized hint to it. As the malts wash down, mild noble hops come in gracefully and clean up leaving a crisp, clean flavor on the palate.
M - Medium-bodied, Ayinger's Oktober Fest-Märzen starts sweet and fuller but finishes light and refreshing with a good crispness to it. This Oktoberfest is nicely carbonated but doesn't have a sharp bite to the finish.
O - Brewed perfectly for what it's meant for; sheer drinkability. Ayinger's Oktober Fest-Märzen is a world-class beer that's incredibly well done and as close to the epitome of an oktoberfest as possible. A malt-lover's dream, this is devoid of hop flavor and bitterness, letting the deep maltiness really shine.
