Pours a charming, bright orange with a fluffy head.
A lot of sweet malt in the nose, especially as it warms up; toasty bread and crackers.
The hops provide a tartness, like when you leave a tea bag in too long. Before that, though, there's a slight vanilla creaminess, a tiny amount of banana, but a malty fruitiness that combines with the hops to create a tart fruit tang. Imagine a tasty kölsch with a slight toffee touch; this does retain that sort of vinous note.
Not exactly a sessionable beer and I wish there were more in this style. But here it its and its a good one.
