Poured from a 16.9 ounce bottle into an nonic pint glass.
Appearance: This one gushed out of the bottle as soon as it was cracked. Once I cleaned things up, it pours a honey gold with orange highlights and a 1-2 finger foamy off-white head. Minimal lacing.
Smell: Sweet German malt with sweet grains and a touch of spices. Very sweet aroma.
Taste: Sweet bready grains up front followed by lightly roasted malt in the middle before ending with a touch of earthy hops. The aftertaste is dry, earthy and just a little bitter.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied with a high amount of prickly carbonation.
Drinkability: High drinkability. Goes down smooth and easy. I could knock back a few in the right situation.
Overall: Very good beer overall. One of the better Octoberfest beers on the market. Give it a shot.
