Pours a hazy golden apricot with a dense yellowish cream head that lingers.
Sweet, nutty, toasted caramel malt, and a hint of metal character form the initial aroma. Very malt forward, and packed full of melanoidin goodness.
Flavor follows suit, but with less sweetness than anticipated. Bready, toasty, caramel malt dominates, slightly sweet, but finishing decidedly dry, herbal, and a touch bitter. There's an underlying earthiness.
Body is moderate to a touch full, with moderate carbonation.
Not as sweet as expected, with great malt complexity.Very clean and drinkable. The mineral notes are a bit offputting.
