Poured into a Sam Adams Perfect Pint glass.
A - Copper and crystal clear. Billowy, white head that clings to the side of the glass. Perfect.
S - After having so many IPAs and hop-centric beers lately, I've forgotten how lovely a malty beer can smell. Wonderful toasty and bready malt aroma dominates. Slightly sweet in smell. Light floral hops in background.
T - Sweet, rich, bready, toasty, grainy malt flavor. Low hop bitterness and a light floral, spicy hop flavor. The malt flavor is excellent in this beer, but I like a touch more hops in my Oktoberfests.
M - Medium body with moderate carbonation. This beer has a sweet flavor, but it still has a dry, crisp finish. Very easy drinking.
D - Great beer. I still think that Paulaner makes a better Oktoberfest, but this one is a close second. I think the malt/hops balance is a little better in Paulaner. Still, I'm most likely going to be buying more of this beer before they're gone for the year.
