A: A lovely orange color with amber hues. Strong, white head sits on top and lingers for some time. Nice carbonation.
S: Caramel roll with some toffee thrown in. Definitely on the malty side. Some herbal hops there too. Probably one of the more aromatic Oktoberfests I've had this year. A hint of sulfur at the end.
T: More of that caramel roll flavor. Very rich caramel notes with some toffee at the end. Really nice. More towards a bock on the maltiness, which I like. At the same time it isn't cloyingly sweet. The hops round out the bitterness and thats about it. Not a lot of hoppy flavor. The beer is very smooth tasting. I love the rich maltiness, yet the light body. Best tasting O-fest this year so far.
M: Light-medium bodied. Maybe slightly heavier than other Oktoberfests. Smooth and clean finishing.
D: Wow. I really liked this beer. The flavor and aroma make this one lead the pack for me. I'd like to try this one fresh in Germany. It is dangerously drinkable. I could put down a 1L stein of this no problem.
