A: Body color is moderately golden-bronze. Clear with no haze and visible, small bubbles indicating a fine level of carbonation. Pours a huge, pillowy, cloud-like head that is just off-white. Great lacing with streaks and spots left as the head deflates and with each sip taken. A half-millimter layer of foam remains throughout entire session.
S: Aroma is predominantly of sweet malt with tones of floral hops and baked apples.
T: The taste leads in with bright, sweet malt having notable caramel avenues. Spicy hops are present midway through and extend into the aftertaste. Bread-like flavors in the mid-to-aftertaste, perhaps with some dark crusts or hulls thrown in. Flavors also include spices like nutmeg and clove
M: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation levels. Relatively, and perhaps surprisingly, creamy with a dry finish.
D: An interesting Märzen, a quality and subtle variation on the type while also staying true to others. Enjoyable and well worth drinking again, either in these early spring days or during the fall.
