Poured from 500mL bottle into a Pilsner glass.
Appearance: rich orange hue with a crystal-clear body and tons of apparent effervescence. Head is two thick fingers of a dense ivory foam which caps off one fine looking beer; retention is good and the lace is quite attractive. Really, I love it.
Smell: very grainy, toasty aroma. Malt is on the drier side and the hops don't really show themselves. It's well-crafted, to be sure, but for the most part it ain't my cup of meat.
Taste: much tastier malt flavor with the toasty grain more of an accent than a primary constituent. Sweet with hints of caramel, plus a light earthy hoppiness and a balancing bitterness. Damn solid.
Mouthfeel: medium body but with a big, creamy carbonation. This one really hits the spot.
Drinkability: quite good indeed. I could probably quaff these all day long; preferably in a long tent with a few thousand new friends.
