You can't do much better then this festbier from Ayinger.
It pours with a golden orange amber color, just right. The head produced is about medium height, dense and lingers along while, while leaving some fancy lacing around the glass.
Brilliant clarity, a beauty to behold.
The aroma is malty. I can smell perhaps some toasted malts too. Other then that it's very clean.
The taste is rich and malty. The toasted malts are more pronounced then in the nose but by no means overwelm the flavor.
The malts have a fairly sweet flavor going in but finish slightly dry and bitter.
On the palate it drinks almost full bodied with a smooth, soft finish.
I couldn't ask for anything more.
