16.9oz bottle poured into a Sam Adams Octoberfest Stein. The bottle cap is easily the coolest one I have ever seen.
A: Golden-orange in color, huge rocky white head that dissipates after a bit. Not much lacing on my glass. Steady streams of quick moving bubbles of carbonation rise into the head.
S: caramel, grain, a sweet fruity citric aroma, and faint grassy hops.
T: Pleasant taste of grains up front transitions into a nice caramel sweetness. Slight fruity notes (banana?) and a mild grassy hop bitterness come through in the middle, and the grains pop up again in the slightly dry finish.
M: Medium bodied, crisp, clean, and a good amount of carbonation.
D: Very high. This beer was designed to be quaffed, and I'm happy to oblige.
Notes: Good brew, maybe the best Octoberfest I've had so far this fall.
